Service Description

The unmanned aircraft system (UAS) or drone industry is growing at an exponential rate. The FAA expects annual drone sales to reach 7 million by 2020. This course will prepare students to take the FAA Knowledge Test for Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification. Students will learn about drones, rules and regulations, aeronautical charts, crew resource management, drone safety, weather affecting drones, and the process of acquiring a Remote Pilot Certificate. This course is taught in a three day format with 2 days of classroom and 1 day of basic flight training. Who Should Attend The course is designed for all personnel wanting to be certified to fly drones for their public safety department, agency or commercially. Prerequisites: None Course fees are set for a minimum of 6 students per course to host, if the minimum is not met the course will be cancelled, postponed or the full fee will be applied.

All course fees are set for a minimum of 6 students per course to host, if the minimum is not met the course will be cancelled or postponed or the full fee will be applied. Conditions for training are dependent on weather, site location and seasonal environment. In the event of a major storm in the region, there is a chance that the course will cancel so that attendees and instructors can support various agencies, in this case, a full refund will be applied.
